Who we are

Our story began in high school, where we first met and fell in love—at the swimming pool. Competitive swimming was a huge part of our lives, taking us through high school and into Division 1 swimming programs. In 1987, we tied the knot and built a life together, raising four incredible kids who are now off on their own exciting adventures.

As a young couple, our budget for wine was tight, and our go-to bottle was a $6.99 jug of Ernest and Julio Gallo wine. But over the years, our love for wine evolved, leading us to explore more varieties, both red and white, always searching for hidden gems that deliver quality without the high price tag. We’ve come to appreciate that great winemakers exist all over the world—many crafting excellent wines at reasonable prices, without the heavy marketing costs.

That passion for discovery is what led us here. We’re on a mission to taste, compare, and share our findings on affordable yet exceptional wines from around the globe. Because great wine shouldn’t have to come with a luxury price tag—it just needs to be great.
